My Ride: Expected delivery on 15 Jan 2007 525I Olivian Green, Beige Interior, PP, CWP, PDC, SP, Rear shades, heated rear seats, Ipod fitted, Nav, Oem Rims 166, Xenon Lights, Wood grain package, illuminated door sills
Ok first off I think im going to need counseling, and dont be mislead by my title. But I was out riding today and decided to go and talk to my dealer about the Clear Bra. The district manager was there and told me that my car was in and was about to go to the shop to put in the wood grain extras and ipod and things and to get it programmed. So I said can I see it , and she said yes of course, so when I went to look at the car it was so nice (Olivian Green by the way ) and all the options were there except for the STEPTRONIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :'( Long story short they have to build me another car and the BMW Plant in MUNIC is closed for the Holidays until Jan 4th. So I can't get my car until then. But as a incentive they are putting in the "Illuminated BMW Door Seals"for free. So its not so bad right

LOL, sorry, but had exactly the same problem. Ordered my car from dealer in Aberdeen, Scotland in January 2005 for delivery in April 2005 when I got back from holiday in Hawaii.
Come April, had a few problems getting hold of the salesguy, found out why...... he had not checked the order carefully enough and a manual had arrived to my spec but not a step.
"Would you like the manual sir?"
'You have 5 days to get me a car to my spec 'was my response 'or give me my deposit back.'
They couldn't, I took my deposit back cancelled the order and found a pre-reg car at ?6,000 below list the same day.
Absolutely unbelievable !!
If it makes you feel better, a work colleague of mine had the exact same problem with a new MB....but they didn't find out until they got to Stuttgart to collect it !!

That is a bummer. I was really worried that was going to happen to me when I took delivery. At least you're in Germany so the delivery time is a lot shorter.
It's interesting to see the Europeans on this thread ordering Steptronic while the Americans appear to be stick drivers - I thought it'd be the other way around.
