OK I am aware that this topic is beaten to death but I have another request.
I want to change the angel eyes, Front Turns and Side markers on my pre-LCI car. Which bulbs do I need to get that DO NOT have load resistors built in or ones that are separate that can be easily removed.
The whole point of changing to LEDs is to conserve power but if you continue to use load resistors it defeats that purpose. So the plan is to change the bulbs and then code out the error detection.
I'm not after Super bright LEDs or anything.

I know you can get T10 LEDs for the AEs if you got halogen headlights. I got them in mine, from ebay and no errors on dash, canbus version. But its hit and miss if you go for the chinese crap.
As you can see from attached pic they're nice at night but in daylight, not as visible.

I bought these ones here.
You need 4. 3 worked fine and 1 was giving error so I ordered another set of 2 which fixed that. Depends on your luck
Make sure you start engine all the way to make sure the errors clear if you get any.
For side repeater I got this type here. They are not as dark in real life but do actually look OK.
Bruce let me know if you find any LEDs for the headlights turn bulbs, I couldn't find any but then again I didn't look too hard.

Bruce, I am too lazy to look it up right now, but the Osram bulb guide is correct for our cars. The turn signals for Euro E60s are not the same as US, and I believe the correct one is listed in the bulb replacement guide.

i was actually hoping people would give me personal experiences of bulbs that have worked for them. I am actually looking for the bulbs that GIVE an error, that would mean they have no load resistors built in.
In that case you should have no problem getting stuff on ebay, as long as it doesn't say canbus or error free.
This here for the turn signal and it says it DOES need a resistor so should give error for sure.
This here for the T10 which actually give errors (even though it says canbus) since I bought some and all 4 gave errors for me.
The side markers use T10 also if I remember correctly so the above T10 link should give errors too, but you might need to find some in amber.
