build month

I was told that i can find the build month of my car by looking at a sticker on the side of the drivers door. But i have checked and i have found no sticker. Is there any other way to check?

on uk cars there is a date on the lable on your seat belts were it fixes to the base of the seat it has the month and the year dont know if this is when the car was built though. does anyone know when the 2.5 diesel came out in the uk
