My 530i has recently completed the break-in period. At this time, I must inform the forum that I very much enjoy the 255hp, inline 6.

Yup, I let loose pretty good yesterday coming out of a toll booth. Redlined going from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd. Ferocious. 1st gear is gone soooo fast when you floor it.

Careful guys. It is advised that you gradually build up your rpm top end even after your break-in period. A sudden burst right after break-in might just be too much for the rings.

In my case, I'm over 2000 miles now, and I was very gradual in building them up. All is well.
