Breaks squeaking already!!!!!!

I had the same problem with my VW Touareg, the service tech. took me and my car for a quick ride around the building. He breaked hard at the same time as he was accelerating hard a couple of times. The discs were almost red. I don't know if it's good for the car but the squeaking disappeared.

I?ve got the same problem @ 17,000 miles. It?s probably been doing it for some time now. Just noticed it when I pulled up at a friends with the window down. He was like ?Man, are those your brakes squeaking??. I?m taking my car in for service soon and we?ll see what they say?.
And I thought people were looking my way all the time because the car looks good??.

[/quote]Well, I know first hand that hard braking alone does not cure this! I brake pretty hard, fairly often.....
I'll report back when I get my car back for service. Don't hold your breath, though, i'm sure it will be there for two weeks....
