Hi,
I've had my car since May 2006 and have recently noticed that some of the silver coating on the 172's has started to chip off. Not caused by curbing or anything as it's near the centre of all the wheels.
My car has been at the dealer since yesterday for the squeeky steering and an ongoing iDrive problem. I mentioned the chipping in passing and they said they'd have a look. I was expecting that they'd just get a guy to refurb them.
Just got a phone call and they are replacing all 4 wheels under warranty!!!!
How crazy is this????!!! Looks like the recent "172" curse of some members is finally turning!!!
I'm pretty happy as there was minor, minor curb rash on 3 out of the 4 anyway which I was going to get done come the summer!
Just thought I'd share my joy!
Marc

Service manager must have gotten laid and come across some lost cash to have been so kind. Congrats!
