i think you were joking in this thread: http://forums.e60.net/index.php?showtopic=79929 but for those of you who are actually attempting to do this, DO NOT DO IT! YOU ARE COMPLETELY DESTROYING THE STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY OF YOUR ROTORS IF YOU ATTEMPT TO DRILL THEM YOURSELF!

cross drilled rotors normally have chamfered holes to protect the rigidity of the rotor under extreme temperature and abuse. using a drill to drill holes in your calipers is not the same.

if you really want that look buy let me know i sell r1concepts rotors and so does trinity.

Michael, PM me with some product info - I'm getting close to that point where I might be upgrading my braking system. I was thinking about some better pads (someone told me about the "Yellowstuff" by EBT - or EBC, not sure) and probably the X-drilled rotors. Let me know if you have any caliper paint kits, while we're on the subject, actually. I'm not exactly getting it today, but would be nice to know my options. Thanks.

PS Calvin was kiddin' about those cross-drilled rotors - at least, I hope he was

so i just paid $80 for brake pads all the way around and installed them...not hard but out of curiosity i called the dealership for a quote and they said aprox. $1250 to install the brake pads....i was in shock but laughed....WOW how do they sleep at night charging that?!

What kind of pads, and how do they rate? I'm approaching pad replacement needs and am looking for something good.

Thanks.
