My Ride: 2005 BMW525i 20 inch wheels, tinted tails windows, and headlights, acs style spoiler, painted calipers, HID fogs, angelibrights, 1999 Chevy S-10-lambo doors, retractable license plate, rims, lowered, custom thru body kit exhaust w/twin slash tips, ect..., 2007 gsxr750 fully modded.

so i just paid $80 for brake pads all the way around and installed them...not hard but out of curiosity i called the dealership for a quote and they said aprox. $1250 to install the brake pads....i was in shock but laughed....WOW how do they sleep at night charging that?!

Did you at least turn the rotors and bleed the brakes?

yea bled lines and everything only took about 2.5 hrs., im 21 and only have minor experience on cars but tons on motorcycles but ...it was so easy just dont see how people pay that. these cars are very easy to work on.

agree. im going to do mine with a friend when i need it. pads and cross drilled rotors. simple.

sick, i wanted to do crossdrilled rotors but im done spending money on car, gotta finish my s-10 project, post some pics up though, got a brand picked out?

stillen rotors. hawk pads. wont happen until i need them, which wont be for a long time.

gotcha, yea i got wheels and my brake pads were putting out an ureal amount of brake dust so ...they had to go

i think you were joking in this thread: http://forums.e60.net/index.php?showtopic=79929 but for those of you who are actually attempting to do this, DO NOT DO IT! YOU ARE COMPLETELY DESTROYING THE STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY OF YOUR ROTORS IF YOU ATTEMPT TO DRILL THEM YOURSELF!

cross drilled rotors normally have chamfered holes to protect the rigidity of the rotor under extreme temperature and abuse. using a drill to drill holes in your calipers is not the same.

if you really want that look buy let me know i sell r1concepts rotors and so does trinity.
