My Ride: 2005 BMW525i 20 inch wheels, tinted tails windows, and headlights, acs style spoiler, painted calipers, HID fogs, angelibrights, 1999 Chevy S-10-lambo doors, retractable license plate, rims, lowered, custom thru body kit exhaust w/twin slash tips, ect..., 2007 gsxr750 fully modded.

my brake pads leave a LOT of brake dust on the wheels i can clean them and two drives later thier DIRTY, whats up?

actualy my indy tol me the sensor isnt really that accurate at all and is just a stupid feature bmw decided to add & also that doesnt have to be replaced everytime a brake pad is changed

I still had about 10,000kms to go on the pads... the brakes were squeaking like mad, drove me nuts, replaced them anyways. There was quite a bit of pad left, like Howitzer saids its almost normal for bmws..

this is normal for BMW pads, this is why I have change to EBC green stuff and almost no brake dust

if you take them out and chamfer the pad they will not squeak.

how do the ebc's grip? anybody got a deal on them?

Is the idrive list supposed to actually know how much brake pad you have left? Or is it just a preprogrammed mileage ammount that it is set to go off at?

There are tiny mites who live in the sensors. When the brakes wear down, the mites get hot, and then start screaming.

Brakes squeal as a result of the back of the pads vibrating against the calipers. If I do not have brake silicon, I use peanut butter. (Sunday night; all parts stores are closed.) It works, seriously.

the idrive is just for ref. only never trust it.
