Brakes

My Ride: 2004- 545, sports package, 6 speed manual, active drive

How many kilometer i can do before i need to replace the brake, i drive a 2004 545, manual, my odometer shows 70 000 kil. according to my onboard computer it shows i can still drive 17000 Kil in the front and 24000 kil in the back, I precise are those numbers.

I would have thought the indicator would automatically adjust depending on how the brakes are applied. Same as the service mileage indicator.

you be alright for now until 6 months time then check the pads again.

I would not believe your I-drive computer, had my car in for service a few months back and the report was that there was only about 20% wear on brakes. I have 47,000 KMS on the car now. I - Drive was reporting
15,000 kms until change required on the front and 20,000 on the rear.

I brought my car in last week to have my winter tires put on and told them I was hearing a noise from the brakes, they changed the back pads and discs. Now at least I do not feel bad that I bought the brake maintenance program from BMW.

With 70,000 kms on your car I would have them take a look at the brakes
