The sound returned this afternoon! But alas we decided to trade the car in today and it is already gone. We decided to cut our losses and move on. We are now owners of a 2013 VW CC sport. We limped it to the dealership and said goodbye.

I also Have a Thump sound coming from outside when i put foot on brake pedal, also braking performance feels lower. I have 03/11 530d Can you link me the parts you replaced? did you do rear only?

I did the fronts. Replaced the rotors, pads, slide pins and bushings. I was beginning to think the noise could have been a bearing issue.
