Brake pedal feel is weird, or is it just me?

Well my e60 is an LCI. Wouldn't it have the newer braking system?

I remember back when I had my 545i, I test drove my friends '08 328i and the brakes felt super sensitive. I think the cars are just desinged for the audience it will be supplied to... Older people don't want super sporty/sensitive brakes.

I need to push down quite a bit to get the brakes to really start to slowing the car down and gradually give more force and then as the car comes to a near complete stop, let off for a smooth stop. With the 335i I give a slight amount of pressure (keeping it constant) and the car stops quickly and smoothly, not even jerking once i'm at a complete stop. my question is, is the 528i braking normally? is this how all e60 behave, or is something wrong?
