If the car is not covered under the maintenance plan anymore you can change it yourself....it's pretty easy. You just need to have either a pump, or a vacuum depending on which method you use..........you can also have someone sit in the car and pump the brakes a couple of hundred times while you drain the fluid at the calipers.....good leg exercise.
For those that don't know about it, Bavarian Autosport (www.bavauto.com) sells a "one man band" brake bleeder kit. Part # PB03K.

I went to my mechanic to do the 2 year recommended brake fluid change and I cannot believe how simple that job was. Next time I will do it myself. My mechanic was looking at me like I was mad and according to him this was not necessary as the antifreeze flush.
Does anybody have or can link me any maintanance manual for the 545i?

Yes, it's quite simple .
How much the change by the mechanic ?

Edit : $200 .. Ridicolous!

My opinion was that, since this car stops nice and the BMW recommends changing the fluid, I will do it, but now thatnks to the input I got here, I am taking it more serious. Which makes me think it is time to change the brake fluid on my R1200c.

Now back to my 545i, I got a 6 speed, what about the clutch fluid? Where are the drain and fill places?

There is a slave cylinder on the gearbox (#13 in pic) that has a vent on it similar to the vents on the calipers (#14 in pic). The fluid is drained from the vent. Although I have not checked my 545, all of my other MT BMW's used the brake fluid for the clutch slave cylinder as well, so there wasn't a separated reservoir for the clutch fluid.....I assume the 545 would be the same way.

clutch and brake fluid should be from the same reservoir. at least its that way on my e90 manual and many others. there is a bleed valve on the clutch line as well.
