I have a 528xi 2008 and i do slightly regret my decision because the 528xi is simply not that powerful. But i will say stick with the 535xi, only issue you'll have with the 535 is the fuel pump and turbo. Get your dealer to replace it somehow, I heard its a big bill if your out of warranty, so try your best. Aside from those issues, you'll be whipping 300hp all over the place

With the age of the OP's car it most likely already had the hpfp replaced.

OP - some warranty info for you, the hpfp is covered for 10yrs/120k miles and the turbos are covered for 8yrs/82k miles.

Thanks for the Info Booyaazaa, I was concerned about the HPFP since it's mostly what 535 have a tendency of going bad

And DK wrapping the car is not an option lol

It doesn't really matter if the HPFP has or has not been replaced. Their not all defective. Even it had been replaced, it doesn't mean that it won't be replaced again and again or never again. Although the probability of it going bad is rather high, you should have coverage for 10 years or 110K. Actually, I would like mine to go out again so I would have a good feeling that maybe it will last even longer. Mine was replaced twice. The last time at 50 K and I have right at 100K now with no issues. The latest version of the pump seems to be correct, however, you don't really know that you actually have the latest version when they install it. You could get an older step version and it may or may not last. Just sit back and enjoy the car and when it fails take it in and get it back the next day to enjoy some more...

I'm sitting at like 70k on the clock so I guess I'm covered for the next 40k miles. I just can't really enjoy the car because of all this snow.
