Its kinda like wine=bmw against a long island=Evo, both are great drinks but get you buzzed differently. One of the guys from my crew has a Ferrari 360, the other has a modified R34 GTR.
Both make 500+hp but perform differently. Maybe you should look into an M5.

there are things you can do to make that car come to life more than it is right now...
i would recommend an ECU tune, lower it coilovers or springs, Dinan high flow intake, Dinan throttle body, full exhuast from the headers back....then come back and lets talk...straight from the factory it can be a bit tame....its designed and engineered for someone who wants luxury mixed with a bit of sport....sounds like u wanted sport mixed with a bit of luxury...its right there for you to uncover....just get creative and open that checkbook!

Really get what you are saying...BUT the 550i was given a performance image and i was expecting a bit more. Maybe i overlooked but i saw it as a 'baby m5'. Dont get me wrong, The car is loaded with stuff like Comfort Access, Seats, All kinda electronic stuff to get your attention and i give bmw their ratings for those stuff. I just thought it would have been more aggressive. Im not hitting out against the E60s cuz i think the 530s,52xs are good luxury vehicles...Im strictly talking about the 550i

If you expected the M5 power you're mistaken, for the price paid is well money spend, as everyone else mentioned with some mods it can get even better.. I love my 550i, for what i paid and what it offers..
