Default boot open warning will not go!

just wondering why isn't the boot warning warning going away, everything seems fine, pops up soon as you start driving away all the time

Check the switch in the trunk (i think that's what you guys call the boot), leave it open then use your finger to move the catch a little just to make sure it is not stuck.

Most likely, a wire is broken in the trunk/boot wiring loom/bundle. The break occurs in wiring where it flexes as the lid is opened and closed.

I am having the same "trunk open" message on my idrive. As soon as I start from stop, foot off the brake, the message appears. It disappears as soon as I step on the brake. It lights up as soon as I accelerate.
It's a cycle. OP, have you resolved the issue? Thanks.

Had a similar problem. It detects that the trunk is open when you drive away. This happens every time you drive away. For me it was a broken wire on the drivers' side wire loom of the trunk lid.
