Was looking through an old E60 accessory catalogue (2003) and spotted this item.

Camera mounted within the boot lid to allows view through the I-Drive screen while reversing.

Looks quiet good.

Does anybody have any infomation on this option as an add on ?

What are the pre-requisites for install ?

Do you have to have had SAT NAV or anything else in the car already ?

Any idea of the cost ?

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Never seen this stuff in any Italian language E60 catalogue. I suspect it?s still in the limbo of the "TBA" items.

In any case, if is it possible to have input signals getting into the widescreen monitor of any E60, it should possible to do the modification as a DIY job; all the components are commercially available on the market (but not for me; I?m a very lazy guy).
