Fred,

I'm trying to find missing wiring to retro-fit the HUD (I already have one) on my car. Do you know if/how I could find things (schematics and missing parts) into WDS diagramms?

Hi Nick,

There are 2 connectors X13835 and X13819 connect to HUD via 10 wires .
For fiber optic connector X13835, two green (GN) fiber wires connect to it.
For regular connector X13819, there should be:
Pin 1: Blue/Yellow (BL/GE) and Pin 7: Blue/Brown (BL/BR) should go to headlight switch that has HUD function
Pin 3: Black (SW) - CAN BUS
Pin 4: Yellow (GE) - CAN BUS
Pin 5 & 6: Red/Black (RT/SW) and Red/Green (RT/GN) are power supply to HUD
Pin 11 &12: Brown wires (BR) are ground to HUD

Check for those wires

Nick,

If you can log into the online WDS you can find the wiring schematics for the HUD. It is under Body>Display & Information functions> HUD.

In addition to Fred's excellent write up WDS states there are 3 HUD versions.

There are 3 versions:
1. up to Mar 05
2. From Mar 05 to Sep 05
3. From Sep 05 to now.

I haven't looked for the differences yet.

I too think they are all the same.
My car is MY 2004 so I think I have to look for X13819 connector, I don't think that It is prewired on car.

Thank you guys!!

Fred, I only had discovered the #1 (HUD switch wiring on the headlight switch panel)
I have to look into the remaining 8 pins. Thanks a lot for info
What I would do without your help?
