I just received a letter from BMWNA stating that they would like to perform a few emission check on my 545i. In the letter, BMW said that this is to monitor how their engine fares as it accumulates mileage. And if they find that I should need any emission repair, they would do it free of cost and with genuine BMW parts. The whole ordeal takes 7-10 days and it includes the following incentive:
1. $250 paid after the emission check.
2. Free "late model" BMW as loaner. Free unlimited mileage and fully insured by BMWNA.
3. High Quality (I don't know if it means full detail) car wash.
4. Pick up and drop off your car at your agreed place.
5. Satisfaction in knowing that your car is running at its cleanest state (I am not joking, it's listed as an incentive)
Have any of you received this letter? If so, should I lend my car to them? They promissed that my car would be handle with highest respect and professionalism.
I heard that the emmissions agency's in each country constantly check differnet models from different makes to make sure that they are within standards, this is obviously how they pitch it to the customer.

Are you kidding me? 7-10 days for $250 and a car wash? no way...I much rather sleep good at night knowing that my car is parked in my garage

I agree I'd much sooner keep the car knowing it's safe in my garage... I can see it know some monkey rev'ing the arse out of your car on a rolling road to see what the emissions are like probably doing it when the engine isn't warm...
