Not everywhere. European standard spec on ALL E60 is 225/50 17 (except some base versions that come with 225/55 16). And 245/40 18 on M-Sport models. BTW - though I do not have proof, I am ready to bet that there is NO measurable difference in real life performance (i.e. on a road or on a track, not a skid pad) between all of these.

What does tire size has to do with prestige? [snip]

Agreed, FWIW some of the fastest times 0-60 and 1/4 mile times I've seen posted on here have come from a 545 without sport on 17" style 116 wheels (which I also happen to think are some of the nicest BMW wheels). I understand there may actually be a slight acceleration advantage to the 17" wheels (due to overall circumference) compared to say the style 124 18"s (which I have on my E60, and which also look nice, but are heavy). Whereas a wider tire undoubtedly helps to provide higher levels of grip close to the limit, I've found slightly narrower tires (say a 225) can actually be much better from a driving standpoint.

If you can't parallel park, you shouldn't be driving. In NJ you have to demonstrate your ability to parallel park when you take your driving test to get a driver's license.

You are right. I can't even copy from the spec sheet anymore. Let me start again: they ALL come with 225/50 17 except base models with 225/55 16 and M-Sport with 245/40 18. I also edited my previous post...

Imagine the driving tester's surprise when you reach that part of the road exam, and hit a button while the car parks itself.
