Car markets in US has to be little different than in Europe, because BMW can not get even close to VW or other similar brands. People must buy average more expensive Euro cars than in Europe. Which are these cheap brands in US? Toyota?

BMW sold 234 597 cars versus VW 234 642 in first 11 months. In Europe AFAIK VW sels 10 times more than BMW.

The "car" market is definetly different in the the US than in Europe. As you stated VW is not as big a player here as in europe. Peugeot / Fiat / Citreon do not exist. #1 selling average car is Toyota / Honda. There is also a big emphasis on SUVs. Most families have a sedan and an SUV or artleast a pickup truck. Our roads are wider and in many parts of the country people need something to tow a boat, trailer, etc. Of course no access to BMW diesel cars. VW and Mercedes diesel cars have poor sales.

Yeah, I know that Ford F-series has been many years top seller in vehicle markets. But still it seems funny that BMW is so good seller. How many vehicles is sold in one year in US?

VW or VW Group (including Audi/Skoda/Seat)

Interesting that UK is a bigger market for Audi than the US. 80,000 cars I think.
