Funny, Looks like the issue is known for several month and BMW did not panic...
I got my letter last week which with bold letters say that I should take it immediately to dealer and should even park it on the street as it may catch the fire and even explode LOL Interesting logic..

Took it today - Service adviser said it is simple 15 minutes job - replace small rubber grommet (probably charging BMW $300 hehehehe) ..not even disconnecting battery.. Took them couple hours but the most important is that this recall saved me $20.... asking for what? For the car wash - they do it for free to every car coming out... LOL

Got the work done. Dealership washed my car even when I had a big note on the dash which clearly stated 'Please DO NOT Wash'
