Does anyone know where I can find original BMW paint to paint my bumper. Im considering getting the Mtech kit from umnitza and I realized that I have everything I need in my dad's company to perform a professional paint job.
My paint is Scharz 2 # 668.

Go to a BMW recommended auto body. Most dealers don't do their own body work anyway. An auto body should be able to source the paint for you.

I can have it pre-painted here, but it raises your costs for both paint, packaging, and the possibility of both non-matching AND damage during shipping.

I went through a similar search not too long ago. What I was able to find out is that our BMWs are painted with Glasurit paint at the factory in Munich. Glasurit is a product of BASF (www.glasurit.com) and is kind of expansive (~$100 per pint depending on color).
You should be able to find an auto paint supply store somewhere near you that carries Glasurit paint. The store should have paint chips that can be used to determine any color variances by comparing them with your original finish. In my experience, Glasurit proved to be the best color match when comparing with other automotive products such as PPG and Sikkens (by AkzoNobel).
I hope this helps.

I've order a can of spray for my 95 E34 Oxford Green 530 rear bumper by providing them the paint code. It came out good and the color matched ok considering the age of the car.

You are right. BMW uses Glasurit which is pretty top of the line. It has a rich 3 dimensional look. To that affect, it's very expensive and not many shops "shoot" Glasurit in their guns. If your simply painting bumpers then another mid-level brand will be find because bumpers are very curvy (PPG, Dupont). If you going to be painting a hood or trunk lid you'll notice the difference in a side by side comparison.
