My Sales Rep just back from a factory event and he brought back interesting, reliable BMW news and insights. In general things are going well for BMW and they are aggressively improving their products, confident about the future of the company.
All 5 Series Engines Will Get More Horsepower
This includes the 545 which will get more 20 horses. As discussed here previously the rest of the engine line will be upgraded for the 5 er.
Four Wheel Drive is Coming to the 5 Series
This include all engines, except the 4.4 V8.
BMW to Stay the Course on Innovative Design and Engineering
BMW will not cave in to the design critics. They intend to stay the course. Design approach will not be dumbed down for some people in the American market. Public acceptance of the innovative design is generally fine across the world. So called "polarization" in US is abating as more new BMW's hit the street and other manufacturers follow BMW lead.
7 Series Facelift is Very Minor and Will Become Available Late Spring as an MY 06
7 er will get 6 er Headlight Design and minor tuck at rear of car. Minor tuck is barely perceptable according to an informed source.
New Delievery Center to Be Complete by 06
New Munich Delievery Center which was designed by Coop Himmelblau Architects is said to "ultra cool".
Source Forgot to Ask About Bluetooth Retrofit for 04 5 er
Curses! He will contact a reliable source for the latest info. I am personally about ready to give up and get the V60 installed.

NO NO NO... don't give up. V60 sucks, is old stuff. We can press on, and it will happen. stay the course.

My Ride: 2004 545i 6spd, blk on blk, HRE 540R 20x9 in front and 20x10 in rear with Pirelli PZero Neros 245/25/20 front and 295/25/20 rear. H&R springs, and Eisenmann quad exhaust, V! radar detector, black grille, limo tint all around.

It's a higher displacement V8. Not too much more hp but lots more torque.
