Thought it was pretty cool that BMW NA would call me to take a survey on my latest visit to my service department. I didn't trash them because they actually were pretty good. Just thought it was a nice touch.
Has anyone had this experience?

yea i believe thats a normal routine for them. I've been in for 3 services and they have called me all 3 times. The last service was horrible though...so i gave my dealership bad rating. they ripped my seat leather, didn't give my car back for 4 days, gave me a crappy loaner, and didn't end up fixing anything. oh well

Just got off the phone with them as well. Unfortunately I had to trash them. They kept my car 3 days to do an oil change and to replace 2 wiper blades. The icing on the cake was when they gave me the car back dirty!

My Ride: E90 M3
Model Year: 2011
Had the car in twice, including one 4 day software upgrade. Not a peep out of BMWNA except for that survey right after I bought the car.

My Ride: 2004 545i - 6 speed manual (July 04 build), silver-grey/black, sports package std equipment (18", active roll, active steering, adaptive headlights), premium sound, bluetooth enabled, folding rear seat, lumbar, 3m hood/bumper protective film, rear tint, euro reflectors.
I have had the survey calls in the past.
I believe that BMW dings the dealers overall discounts dependent on thier service and customer satsifaction.
I am not sure it is for every service or just for the initial delivery. But, I am pretty sure BMW uses that to hold the dealers to the fire.

I remember reading a post regarding the BMW survey. I found them amuzing, but they might be true.
Major points from that post.
1) The survey does not stay anonymous to the service dealer.
2) The service dealer can retaliate against you, because you gave bad ratings.
3) Give good ratings, so you won't receive worst service next time.
4) Don't piss off your dealer. Especially, that's the only dealer near you.
5) Treat your service department like treating your family doctor. Give them some respect. The doctor doesn't like to feel that you know more than him or her, because you read something from the Internet like WebMD. Remember they went through the med school. Just because you read something from e60.net . It doesn't make you a mechanic now
