Hi,
If you replace RFT with non-RFT, do BMW service have to change any settings/coding with the E60. I was told sometime back that this may have to be done.

I think when changing wheels/tyres you need to reset the tyre pressure warning system in the iDrive, but nothing in the coding of the software. I remember seeing the dealership resetting something in the iDrive when they swapped my 18s to the 19s. Can anyone confirm if this is for all tyre / wheel changes?

I changed from wintertires to summertires two weeks ago, and every time I do this, I get a flat tire warning. Just reset the system in the iDrive (i-menu) and drive, and the system will calibrate the new setup..

Unless you have the latest pressure control system sitting in the valves. Then you require these to be fitted to the new wheels. (not the same valves, but the system)

Anyone wat the spare wheel costs? and the kit?
If you get it, when you get to fit it, don't forget to take out the carpet liner in the spare wheel well, otherwise it don't fit properly.
