Last time I posted a video of a BMW M5 manual transmission racing a Mercedes CL63 AMG on an airport runway and beating the Benz pretty badly. This time I have a SMG equipped BMW M5 racing the actual CL63 that the other BMW raced. This time the result is similar but the bimmer is even faster. Here is the video:

The M5 is an amazing machine.

That video is bogus-the SURE way to tell a legit race with an M v. a torque monster like the AMG is watching the start. Providing it is a reasonable start for the torque monster-cars like AMG will pull HARD ahead from the bottom end and then within time the M car reels em in and overpasses at the top end.
This shows the M getting "jump" from standstill-that would NEVEr happen unless the merc driver is napping

Even though it does have massive power the Cl is pretty pretty heavy (700+lbs) and more in line with the 7 series than a 5 series. If this is a comparison, it should be how well the CL63 can still keep up.
The E63 and the M5 is is within 50lbs of each other, both about 4050 lbs. This would be a better race.
The CL is over 4750lbs.

This is more typical of a race between e63 and a M5 from a stand still.

on a roll the E63 would be even or behind depending on the speed.

E started before the M.....guy in the M was napping, kind of embarrassing to show a comparison like this if they didnt start together. Clowns at Motor Trend.
