Redstuff has a better cold bite and much lower amount of dust than Greenstuff. EBC recommends Redstuff for 200HP+ RWD cars. I have them on order, I will make comments here when I'll fit them.

Here's a review on RX8Club
Sounds like Marketing Bullshit. If any vehicle spec were to singled out, an engineer would specify the weight of the car.

Correct, but sedans with 200+Hp are usually weighting more than 1300-1400Kg

Here is my experience:

1999 E39 - Tried GreenStuff all the way around, bedded the pads, front rotors were warped after 10,000 miles (read Zeckhausen's web site about what warping really is). Then I switched to RedStuff on all four corners (at about 15,000), and new rotors on the front. No problems, lots less dust, pads did not have the same initial "bite" that BMW pads have. At 50,000, I swapped in the Axxis pads on all four corners with new rotors on the front (left the original rotors on the back). Same experience as EBC Reds. No problems, lots less dust than OEM, pads don't have the same initial "bite" as OEM. Sold the car with 102,000 miles, Axxis pads/rotors still going strong.

2003 E46 ragtop - Switched to Axxis at 1,000 miles. No problems, lots less dust, less initial bite than OEM (see a pattern here?). Car now has 19,000 miles on it (yes - it's a Garage Queen) - no problems, no excessive rotor wear.

2006 E60 (530xi) - OEM rotors and pads and the brake dust is killing me. Two weeks and my rims are BLACK. I am switching to Axxis as soon as I get relocated to Alabama.

Summary: I had a bad experience with EBC GreenStuff. I had a good experience with EBC RedStuff. I had a good experience with Axxis. I did NOT experience abnormal rotor wear with RedStuff or Axxis, and I am an aggressive driver. I would also put a plug in for Steve and Zeckhausen. They have always provided me with good service, and good parts. They ROCK! http://www.zeckhausen.com/BMW/E60.htm

Also - I'm sure things have not changed too much - you can reference my document on how to change brake pads yourself at http://www.bmwtips.com/tipsntricks/Changin...ngBrakePads.htm

Lastly - I needed shims on the RedStuff pads to eliminate all squealing. I transferred those same shims to my Axxis pads. They never squealed (but I never tried them without the shims).

Axxis Deluxe Plus!

It took a year before they where available for the V-8 Sport models and I put them on when I had about 25k miles. Once they are broken in, they will feel the same as the OEM pads, but virtually no dust and no noise. The best modification I have done, especially if you have 166M rims, which are not as easy to clean.

BTW, I tried Rejex. Good wax, but I would have dust after 100 miles. Now, I never have to clean my rims in between car washings, even if I go two weeks, as compared to every other day.

I have 166 wheels too, just for 100miles of driving, the wheels basically become black w/ all dust on all 4 sides lol.. I cant believe I have to clean these rims every other day!!

Replacing brakepads is easy? or will it cost a arm and leg?

Edit: Looks like they dont have one for 525i (RWD)
I DIY my brake pad itis very easy as long as you got all the right tools to do it.
take about 20mins for each wheel.

Ah ok.. Cant believe you have to buy ($200!!) and install this on a Ultimate Driving Machine, when it supposed to come with these pads standard

Sorry coolguy,

I'm pretty sure that the rear brakes are the same, but I'm not so sure about the fronts
