sound good but my is 192hp not 215hp,
red stuff is a bit too much is you have stock rotors, need to change them too.

Redstuff pads will not notice your 8HP difference, that's for sure

I'm driving my 170+HP much faster than many 200HP+ drivers, so I don't see where's the problem to go for the Reds.

They are made for stock rotors pads replacement as well.

yes they are good and they are made for stock rotors but they will ware out much faster too.
I have had my green stuff for a year now and the disk has only 30% left on them compare to 70% last year so need to change them to DBA spoted 1s

So both of them, redstuff and greenstuff ...eat the discs..ha? Wich one is more close to OEMs on the disc wear side, but less dust?

Axxis deluxe is rotor friendly but wears too fast (lasts about 50% less than stock ...without so hard use) and isn't so "ready" when it is cold, it has a spongy feeling on pedal. Needs 1-2 stops and it's ready to go.

I've noticed also that as it wears (in it's midlife) it has much better cold efficiency than when it is new.

green stuff

EBC recommends Redstuff Kevlar-Ceramic, for much less dust than greenstuff, for cars above 200HP and it is rotor friendly (EBC says)

Greenstuff

Redstuff

Hey guys, but is there a correlation between the dust left over and the performance of the pads? I remember reading on the forum some time ago that the BMW oem pads are performace oriented and that's why they make so much dust.

Case in which why not try yellow stuff or even blue stuff?

+1 on that. OEM work really well and is balance for performance and daily driving. But after market ones usually have drawbacks... poor cold braking and etc... I personally have no complaints on oem.

Does BMW actually have low dust brake pads available as replacements? Or is it necessary to buy indie ones and have them fitted?

It's simpler to buy the spray that is used at the car wash, that remove immediately the dust from the wheels .

I like the OEM pads. First, because once you get them clean and waxed or covered with Rejex, then it's not too hard to keep them clean, second, they really are effective, and third, the status of the wheels (IMHO) gives you some idea whether or not a person is maintaining his/her car...i.e. if the wheels are dirty, how well was the rest of the car maintained?
That is a pretty funny assumption... I do not prescribe to the 15k oil changes and pay for the oil to be change at 7500 mile in the intervals and my rims are dirty. I really don't have the time to wash my car everyday to keep my rims clean. I can wash my car and have perfectly clean rims and then drive around in my car and they will be dirty again......
