Regarding the Axxis Deluxe Plus pads: Every site I look at offers them for the E39 & other BMW models. Can you really get these for the E60? (I have an '04 530i)

I assume so since y'all are talking about them! Where are you buying them?

Thanks,
Kuchar
My local brake shop got them for me. A good source is also Zeckhausen (http://www.zeckhausen.com/CDV.htm) he has them listed on the website. Or, Stop Tech

I have EBC Greenstuff pads fitted on my car and although I don't drive the car very hard i can say that the pads work great and produce almost NO BRAKE DUST.

+1 great pads - had them on the front since new and on the back as soon as they were available....got 'em on my X3 as well. Also Zeckhausen is good to deal with.

Axxis Deluxe Plus is your solution. Running them on my other bimmer and I have forgotten what dust is. Just water and soap on the wheels and they look new. No brushing or anything.
+1 - I could clean my wheels and then drive up the highway one exit and I could write my initials in my wheels. I have a 2 month old 535i and the wheels (inside and out) stay sparkling clean. Also, I dont feel like I have given up hardly any stopping power (I'm sure I have but it is negligible)

Zeckhausen knows his stuff, too.

I like the OEM pads. First, because once you get them clean and waxed or covered with Rejex, then it's not too hard to keep them clean, second, they really are effective, and third, the status of the wheels (IMHO) gives you some idea whether or not a person is maintaining his/her car...i.e. if the wheels are dirty, how well was the rest of the car maintained?
alot of OEM items on any cars are not good they are OK, that why 3rd party company redesign the stuff and make it better.
BMW OEM pads are very $hit for the rims, loads of dust

Does BMW actually have low dust brake pads available as replacements? Or is it necessary to buy indie ones and have them fitted?

Does anyone know if these pads impact braking performance ? I don't like brake dust but I can live with the minor inconvenience of washing my wheels regularly.

Cheers

I've tried some of those low dust but when they do dust on the rim... they are pretty tough to clean. The dust on OEM are esy to clean and the low dust don't work as well.

Redstuff has a better cold bite and much lower amount of dust than Greenstuff. EBC recommends Redstuff for 200HP+ RWD cars. I have them on order, I will make comments here when I'll fit them.

sound good but my is 192hp not 215hp,
red stuff is a bit too much is you have stock rotors, need to change them too.
