I can add this about how BMW's hold their value. I sold my 2001 325i when I got the 545i. It was 4 years old, had 157,000 miles. Kelly Blue Book value for sale by owner was 13,500 I sold it in the end for 11,500 which was still more $$ than I owed on the loan. Not too bad for a car with 157,000 miles that was only 4 years old.
