Default BMW E60 retrofit power folding mirros

Hi

I am a new kid on the block and just finding my way round here but by the looks of things everyone seems friendly round these neck of the woods with some sound tech advice.

Before I purchase a set and spend my hard earned pennies, I want to check if both 3plug or 1plug mirrors are compatible with my 2006 535d and would I be only able to fit only the pre LCI mirrors?

I have previously purchased the drivers side switch pack to operate the mirrors and have had the door modules coded in preparation for the retro fit.

I live in the Essex area, if there is another forum member who can help me with the retro fit that would be great..

Thanks guys

Scottyc

Good thing you haven't spent your pennies, if yours is post sep 05 (push button start) you need the one plug mirrors

Thanks sanjsanj for the headsup. my 535d does have the push button start option. Is there anyway of fitting of installing the 3plug version as I quite little the puddle light feature.

find the one plug version with built in puddle lights, or if you look at bruce_miranda's signature I think it mentions how he built up whole mirrors from the individual components included puddle lights, although check this isn't for the 3 plug version.

The one plug mirrors have a built in micro controller that controls everything, and so aren't compatible with the older three plug mirrors

Member CALIC has just bought some M5 style mirrors from Central Asia with puddle lights, I guess he'll do a review of them once he receives them in a few weeks time...

Thanks Sanjsanj. I will look out for that post as it would be great to also have the puddle light option.
