I have that same exact problem. I just recently brought it back to the dealership cuase it happen again. There is no sound for now but I am expecting it to come back. Also gots tons of othere problems with the car and I am ready to get rid of this car. Best of luck

I have the same problem with the squealing.
What?s making me curious is the duration of the break pads.
I have 74.500 kms at the moment and the i drive service menu is showing 9.000 kms to change the rear and 23.000 kms(!!!!!) to change the front pads ?!!!? Is this possible ? I think it's a little too much.
But then if it's correct maybe that explains the squealing, the pads are hard(?) but what's going to happen with the discs ????

you have manual transmission..i change rear brakes at 70 000 kms.Now have 75000kms...and idrive service menu say 11 000 kms to change the front brakes.BUT i have automatic transmission.. so yeah it can be..dont worry...

Yeah that's a good reason, BMW have to be driven hard otherwise it will be in the shop because of different problems. (That's what I told my mom when she say slow down

I had the same problem about 3 or 4 months ago about 18000 miles took it in the dealer said there is a TSB to shave down the sensor wich worked and 5000 miles later still no squeek or noise.
