My first instinct is ...YES, but I havent used it in my 10 mo. of E60 ownership. It's the old "What If?"
If $240 wont change your lifestyle go for it.

I had basically decided not to renew then at the last minute the "what if" thing made me renew anyway. Never used it either, but I guess you never know when you might need it. Considering it's now basically thrown in for additional years for free on new E60's it really ought to be standard for everyone including the earlier adopters.

Do you mean the 2007 E60????
I have a 2006 and they are asking me to pay $240 for 1 more year.

Edit - am I thinking about roadside assistance? Seem to recall some posts from 07 owners talking about changes for the new model year.

2nd edit - OK, here's a post talking about the 4 year coverage (NB safety features only) for the 07's http://forums.e60.net/index.php?show...3514&hl=assist

They should extend the Safety part for us early adopters for 4 years too. The airbag deployment part. I dont care for their concierge services...

When it was time to renew my service I couldn't even get my car to connect to BMW Assist. I kept getting a "data transmission fault' error on the Idrive. I figured it wasn't worth it and I didn't want my dealer to mess with the software to fix it. I was afraid after it went to the shop for the software fix for the BMW Assist feature that something else would get screwed up. It was a fairly easy decision not to renew it.
