Has anyone experienced this issue with not being able to connect to BMW Assist? It appears that I have lost my signal strength indicator in IDrive. When I press the SOS button, I get a connection error and I immediately get connected to 911.
Any assistance will be appreciated.

[/quote]Same for me, it was a faulty TCU. My dealer said they have replaced a lot of these and are now quite proficient at it.

Over here in Singapore, the SOS button connects you to the police. I believe this is what that button should be for anyway - in case of an accident or emergency.
The connection to BMW assist can be found in the i-drive under communications. It can be found in the top most line.

Understood; but it still didn't go through. When you press the SOS button or get in a accident you should get contact with BMW Assist.
