Can someone answer me this riddle, i have had my e60 since October of 2003, and i have obviously used my free year of Assist.
With the software updates i have lost the ability to get the ramdom calls incommming and the ability to dial numbers through the idrive. However with the disgust of the bluetooth fiasco still looming and one i thru the idrive called BMW assist and they came on.
The genltman asked how could he be of service, i told him it was a inadvertent dial and he closed out the ticket, now that was full duplex seems all i need is a bluetooth tcu?
But the question is how after my free year am i still able to get service from BMW assist? Or if i continued with the call would he have charged me for the service a one time fee.

Yes, probably would have asked for a credit card - I wonder what would happen if it was a real emergency though.

My Ride: 2008 535i: June 6th start build, complete June 17th, at NY Port July 5th, at dealer July 10th, took delivery Friday July 13- Plantimum Bronze/Natural Brown Leather/Light Poplar, Sport Package, Sport Auto, Active Steering, Premium Package, CWP & PDC. Dinan Performance Software 384hp & 421 ft/lbs.
When I first pick up my car the sales guy said to call BMW assist as they require some information. The asked my license plate #, etc. but they also asked me if I wanted to give them a credit card number for when the free year expires. I did not but I am sure some have. Check your statements if your not sure what you did.
