Does anyone else have BMW Assist in here ? the full service, its like 340 including road direction and automatic call for accidents.

Anyways, sometimes when I would call in using request button or SOS button sometimes, it would say operator online...but I here no voice from the command center.

So I would have to calll bmw using my cell phone and tell them to hang up on me.

Some reps tell me the call was drop the other says, you were placed in line, since your call wasnt important according to the system (wtf ?) does this mean.

She was telling me, you wait in line and if your airbags go off or something, then your placed ahead of a line.

IS this true ?

Does anyone else have any problems.

Ben

Never used it. So no problems. hehe

The one time I did push the button was when I first got it and it was like late at night and I was suppose to push it to activate it or somthing so I did. It connected right away to a live person.

I've used it a few times in non-emergencies. Sometimes it does say "operator online" and I would hear a voice on the other end only after 15 to 20 seconds. Don't know if it is queuing the call or just a technical issue - lag time between data transmission and operator picking up the call.

I think if you haven't subscribed to the service, pushing the button will connect you with someone who can take your credit card number and thus start a subscription - I could easily imagine being put in a service queue for that kind of call.

On the other hand, if you are already subscribed, then I suspect the emergency/SOS call does not go into a queue!

I get the feeling that if you REALLY need them, they're not going to be there.
