Hello,

Just wanted to know if anyone has pics of the new 550i, and where did you get them? Need specs on the vehicle also. Might trade 05 530 for a 550.

The engine is the same one but fitted in a 650i

Specs are

0-100Km/h ( 0-62mph) 5.5s

can someone post a link to the official BMW press release? I'd like to send it to my lying dealer, who said to my face (even though I knew it was November/December 05) 'not for another 18 months or so', so he could sell the sea of 545i's on the lot.

My "friendly" dealer showed me his Product Release Bulletin some 8-10 weeks ago announcing the 550 and 650 as new products replacing their equivalent x45 model for MY2006 with production starting in September 2005. He is expecting the ordering guide any day and has other info in his computer although he does not trust it as completely accurate. Since I am not in the market for x50 I have not pressed him for additional info. Other forum members are ordering theirs now for late Oct/Nov delivery (Steptronic only at first). What a shame ur dealer is so stupid/lazy or full of BS just trying to get U into one of his OLD 545. However, they should be a great deal compared to the x50 in its early days.
