I'd like to formally apologize to all 5 series owners (and bmw drivers everywhere) for ever comparing the two cars..........
Welcome to the Bimmer family!!

my gf has the tl (which we drive frequently and love no doubt) and I just recently bought my 525i. hands down the 5series kills the tl in luxury and fun to drive. they don't call it the ultimate driving machine . Trust me, you'll love the bimmer over the acura. ....unless price of car and of upkeep/maintenance is a factor then go with the acura...the bimmer will slightly be a bit more financially but well worth it in my opinion if you can afford it. I like them both, have them both, but if it was down to one, go with the bimmer. hope that helps though I'm new to the forum I've been researching a long time and have had my car for 3 weeks with no regrets! ( but get it with the xenon's,...otherwise retrofit is gonna be pricey, which im just now learning).

Thanks all!
sorry I haven't been here in a few weeks (spending all my time on the e46 forums)
for those who asked, I got an '05 325ci Coupe with 39k miles (well, 41k now......lol), I also MADE sure I got a 5-speed manual (hard to find but worth it...........i'd post a picture but I don't want to violate protocol since this IS an E60 forum)
Man this thing is fun to drive, it's got this throaty rumble to it and a steering wheel "feel" that just cannot be duplicated
jmsod, my experience with the TL is similar to yours..........seemed like it had a lot of hp but it really had to be pushed in order to get it to go and the steering felt uninspiring to say the least. I never considered the 3s originally cos I thought they were too small
Sasq: yep bimmer mods are freaking pricey!
