Default BMS OCC servicing feedback

Hello all, I just got the BMS OCC and see that I am to locate it hanging off the drivers side strut bar. I certainly have the space to do so but am concerned about how easy it will be to unscrew the bottom portion so that I can drain the oil. Looking for others experiences on this.

Thanks,

Eric

If you have DCI's it's not hard at all as long as you don't over tighten the canister. Besides, it doesn't need to be emptied very often. I empty mine once a year and usually only get a few tablespoons of oil, but some cars blow more oil than others. In my case, I could probably go 2-3 years without emptying it.

Thanks for the response. Forgive my ignorance but what are DCI's?

Thanks again,

Eric

Ah, well, as you can guess from my question, I do not have DCIs, Still running the stock airbox system.

Still not hard. The stock airbox can be removed in under 5 minutes once you'd done it a few times.

Get rid off the stock box... the sound is amazing running dci
Take care of em, clean em, hit it with some oil [red] and bam

Yes Heat soak can be an issue if your not running an intercooler
