bleeping noise

hi could any 1 help i have a 06 plate 5series iv had the car for nearly a year and its suddenly started make a wierd bleeping noise it makes the same noise aboit 4 times and then stops?.This happends randumley some times it happends once some times more ?really gettin confussed took it to a garage but got no answers apart from not came across it b4 .Im hoping that some1 can give me a straight anwsear and could lead me in the right direction much appreciated if any 1 can thankz oggy

Taking a wild guess since your description of the noise wasnt exactly the greatest... could it be either the speed chime or the hourly chime?? Check your idrive for both.... If not, try to record it and post it or notice the times that it happens... if its on the hour then you know its the time chime....

Does it happen to occur on the 59th minute of the hour? Could be the clock chime.

I think it sounds like the speed limit reminder, check to make sure it isn't set to like 4 mph.

+1 - Sounds like that dastardly hourly chime. Check your time/date settings in iDrive. Disable the Hour Memo by unchecking it.
