What is the difference? Is Carbon Black available in the US? I do not see it on BMWUSA.COM

This is a heartbreaking question for me. Carbon Black has a blue tint to it in the sun. It almost looks purple. It is in my opinion the best color BMW has ever come up with. It is only available on the M models in the US. I did everything I could to order it on my E60, but they would not accomodate me. I ended up with Black Saphire, and it is also a great color, but has a gray tint to it. It actually has crushed pearl in it. Anyway, no you can't get it here. Hope this helps.

I went to two different shops recommended by the dealer. They do a lot of BMW's. One wanted 15K, and the other wanted 14K. They would have to completely take the car apart. Not worth it.

i also love carbonblack and if we were ever to get the Msport option in the US, its part of the package... but, if you have a good dealership and you are willing to spend some $$$ and wait several months, you can get it on any E60....

I tried every dealership in the area. I even called the local BMWNA rep who handles all individual requests. I spoke with her boss. Policy is only on M cars. Find me one person on this site or anywhere else that has done Individual on an E60, and I will concede this point. I have never heard from anyone who has been able to.
