Folks,

Need your expertise and good counsel

Somtimes in reverse, my LCI 520D M sport vibrates/shakes as I manouvre it with foot gently activating brake when parking. Problem does not occur on slow or brake controlled forward movements - ie car creeps forward slowly without gas pedal and without the vibration that I'm getting in reverse.

Also, sometimes I think I can feel it shaking slightly when at rest with engine running - or making more noise than I feel it should.

It's a pain in the ass and I have never experienced it in any other BMW self-shifter

Before, I spend my valuable time and brain cells listening to the drivel/bs I get from local dealers; I thought I'd ask the real experts

So guys, what do y'all think - idle speed or somthing?

Feedback appreciated

Car is now three mths old with 6,000 miles

The car is only 3 months old?? Take it to the dealer, it's THEIR problem! Let us know how it turns out!

I THINK I had similar problem with my 6er, I took it to dealer and they reset DME and gearbox back to factory settings. It fixed the problem.
Idle might be a problem, how low is your idle when cold and when hot? Does it idles rough? Does your tach needle fluctuates a bit back and forth?

Ta vey much to you both - I WILL be heading in the direction of the dealer but thought I'd glean a few ideas from E60.net first

Forgive the lack of knwledge; but what is DME ?

Car is rough on idle - at times - needle hovers slightly at about 500rpm which I think is a tad low
