Apparently week 9 production has an improved NAV with more onscreen buttons and Birds Eye view.

I am still on CIP 13.3 and have not upgraded because I was hoping for significant performance improvements and boot up time. Dealer will upgrade because I need to go in for an emissions recall which I decline in December.

Iceman WnRussell, can you guys tell me what CIP is being released with week 9 production and will the upgrade give my 545 the changes?

I would be interested in hearing about the additional features for nav, as well. I had "bird's eye" called "perspective" view on my 745. It's cool to look at once, or demonstrate to friends, but the truth is I never used it otherwise. I found just keeping the map up with direction set to car travel worked best for me in the right side window.

I see a lot of references to "week x" production. I thought that only had to do with newly manufactured vehicles. How does the production week relate to current owners? Thanks.

You need CIP 16.1 or 16.2, but its only comming to dealers in about 2 weeks time

16.0 doesnt have any E60 updates ( this has been confirmed by multiple sources )

16.0 = no E60 relevant updates.

16.1 is out in Germany (online) allready. 16.2 coming out this month too...
Don't know if 16.1 includes it allready, I think it does but I am not sure. AFAIK 16.2 has the MP3 for non nav cars and cars with bus nav...

There are significant changes on the E60. Therefore we are talking about week 9 production...

How much does it suck that the more you pay the longer you have to wait for the functionality....?

16.0 is out allready. No changes for E60
16.1 is available online, CD will be out March 20/21.
16.2 still n/a

In 16.1 MP3 is still missing, seems to come out with 16.2
16.1 fixes most of the CCC-bugs!

Ice = can you be more specific as to which "bugs" it fixes? any reference to the radio coming on each time the car is turned on?
