I might be opening a can of worms here, but do you guys call your cars 'bimmers" or "beamers"?

I'm new here. I've always used bimmer, but almost everyone at work uses beamer when talking about BMW cars. I've tried searches on Google and came up with this.

http://www.bimmer5.com/bimmer-beamer-beemer-bmw.htm
and
http://www.bmwccbc.org/misc/tech-and-trivia/bimmer.html

I just wonder which actual owners think is more correct.

thanks,

It's a country thing.

In UK it's Beamer for cars. Not sure about bikes.

As ever, no one right way on the international stage but we'll see a fair few arguing otherwise and insisting they're "right".
