Biggest Problem with your E60?

Aig bag failure x2
Leathr seat spiting
Creaking doors never fixed
Rear shelf rattle
I drive control paint pealing off
Plastic around passeger window switch pealing off
Plastic around drivers window switch pealing off
Rusting hus on alloy wheels
Basically cra build quality when you look in detail i now relise this, cheap plastin interior door handles with paint on to like metal
and so on and so on
and dont even mention the uk heater controls

No problems on my e60 except for door seals which they replaced at their expense. My only complaint is that I was going to get a refreshed e60 this summer when my lease is up, but the cabin was botched up with the refresh. I will probably move to Audi for the next threee years.

- Brake sensor went bad - dealer fixed under warranty
- Unknown sensor would not allow car to start - service mobile got the car running; no problems since no charge
- Trunk sometimes opens by itself - No diagnosis
- Battery defective - No diagnosis yet, dealer investigating whether Munich will cover it or not
- After it rains - rear lights have condensation build up on inside - no diagnosis - dealer dried them out
...and I've only had mine for a little under 10 months w/ less than 40K miles on it....be careful and take it to the dealer at the first sign of any problem!

only problem i had really so far with the car that i had to take it to the dealer is the passenger seat sensor and airbag.. but i heard that was a common problem for 5 series.. well thats what a mechanic in the back told me because i went in the back with my dad. plus the moonroof sounding like it was gonna break.. but thats it. very reliable compared to benz.. cant really compare to any other car because ive only had experiences with this and benz.

1) passenger side window can only OPEN but never close. it can be closed only by the driver side window control. possible faulty wiring, will send back to dealer later.
2) Navigation system acting funny, street names are not showing up sometime on 3D mode.
3) the right turn signal is out of sign, the steering wheel is blocking. I have to peek through to L or R to see if the blinker is still on.
4) Music didn't mute when calls come in through bluetooth (sometimes)
5) RFT is jumpy, mime equipped with dunlop, should be better with bridgestone
6) MPG is unrealistically 20/28 on 530. Indeed it is poorly at 17 combine city/hwy
7) the champagne cooler does not fit a large bottle. (just kidding)

Are you refering to the perspective mode, if so, are the street names suppose to come up?
