unless you're losing coolant, i dont think you have a bad head gasket. if the sparkplug is stuck, best bet to getting it out is when the engine is at full operating temp.
i am, the coolant was empty and he filled it up, he also said usually bmw's take less coolant but he put extra in for me

My Ride: 2006 525XI, Jet black on Dakota beige. Premium and winter packages. I consider myself a purist and intend to keep my car absolutely stock and shiny.
2008 328I Convertible, Sapphire black on beige interior. Premium package, NAV, iPod adapter.
Retired: 2002 325I, Titanium silver on black leather. Premium package. Absolutely stock and proud of it.
Hi, there's no need to panic. If you need a new head gasket there's no need to sell your car unless you're really poor and live on some sort of government subsidy, in which case you shouldn't be driving a BMW in the first place.
You should probably take your car to a qualified independent BMW shop. The dealer will most certainly be the most expensive route, but with all this technology in your hands and the power of google you should be able to find a BMW shop in your area. If you dig deep enough, you will probably find reviews about the shop and then you can make an informed decision. Good luck and I hope everything works out for you.

Re: help finding a good independent BMW specialist in the Toronto area: I googled "toronto independent bmw mechanic" and near the top of the results was this link. Looks like it has exactly what you're looking for. Google it yourself and see if there's anything else though.
