i was dreaming aloud with another bimmer driver and was talking about rims. throughout the conversation he was saying that big offsets cause big alignment problems. so im just putting a feeler out to see whats up with that. is it true? or could it be an isolated experience?

I have never hear that before. Can't think of a reason that would be true but I suppose it's possible.

 

depends on which direction and what application. the offset on the front wheels of my crew cab dually are beyond the edge of the wheel but the wheel bearings are still within the center line of the wheel.
