Big Dilemma
#1
My 2004 525i with roughly 55k miles on it didnt start last week. I took in to an all BMW shop (that will remain nameless) and they stated that it was the starter but I also had a problem with the tranny (it was leaking) and my control arm bushing were gone. So they tell me everything is great, car runs like new etc. I go pick it up and the tranny stops downshifting in tiptronic mode. While on the freeway the cruise control warning goes off as well a tranny code, the car fails to recognize that it is in DS mode at times also. I call them back, take the car in they give it back (thinking I meant only in D) get the car, same problem. Also by this time I get another fault which made it so that I didnt need to press the brake to shift into R or D. Take it back again, explain myself better and I get a call saying that its another piece that is causing this, it didnt have anything to do with their work etc etc.
Im finding it very hard to believe it was just some crazy coincidence that all these problems started occuring after they "fixed" my car. I have never had ANY tranny problems with my car before much less warnings/codes popping up everywhere. Any suggestions on how to move forward?

My Ride: '04 545i, sport pkg, premium sound, sprint booster,
Talk with the service manager, if that doesn't get you anywhere, contact BMWNA. Unless for a recall of some sort, I won't let the dealership touch my car. I use a reputable independent shop instead. Winning!!!!!
