O plzzzz dont get my started... people have no respect for anything, let alone cars.. in the city its the worst.. a guy backed up in to my car yesterday, he acted like he did nothing, and when i told him he hit my car, he has the balls to say so.. i looked at him like this .. but that turned to this real fast then this ... with his fuked up piece of crap for a car.. so i stayed cool.. let him leave.. call my tow truck buddy. and had his shit towed.... i dont care if it was the wrong thing to do.. just the balls on this guy to say so like its ok to hit my car.. or any ones car at that...

You are my hero! its a shame i dont know any towing people i wouldve jsut waited till he left and fucked up his tires.

Totally agree with you guys... Its more sensible to have a 'bamg around car' than drive your 50K plus E60 around the city. I have a 1998 echo that does just that. Costs nothing to maintain, runs like a gazelle but is beat up and banged up enough that you can tell its a city vehicle.

Interestingly, when Im in NYC with the Echo - I am very careful of other expensive cars...try to avoid them like the plague, esp when backing up cos I don't want to be stuck with 10k in repairs for a custom fender. Where do these other people who dont give a damn come from?????

Its scary to park your car on street in the city. If I'm in the car and someone tries to pull in the spot either in front of or behind me. I'd flash the blinkers or brake lights, to let them know that I'm there watching his ass. If I have to park in the garage, I'd tip the guy moving my car upfront and tell him to take care of the car. So far, these 2 strategies are working. Knock on wood....

Hey, its all of you idiots from the suburbs that come into the city that don't know how to drive...let's make that perfectly clear! What schmuck from NJ, CT or Westchester knows about parallel parking??? They are all strip mall, pull in a lane and ding your car door dummies. Ahhhhh...now that feels better. Lol

Suburbian here...I park in garages sir! I also take up 2 spaces wherever I go. Damn ding-leberries.

+ 1 for the Durango C. I use one as well for non e60 days. I think its an '02? Wanna swap v8s

I calmly told her that her indicator didn't "indicate" that the dead sea must part behind her, and averyone must get out of the way! Needless to say, she didn't get it, and we ended up going to court. She ended up, not only paying my damages, but also paying my legal costs. Poetic justice...
It seems like there are two kinds of people...those that put the indicator on and assume everyone will clear out of the way and those that don't want to give you the strategic advantage of knowing where they are going just in case you beat them to it. For those people at the corner just be glad I have tints now..and you can't see me giving you the evil eye

Back where I come from we would have a highway lanes narrower than these mall parking spaces... How do people still find ways to ding doors when you can almost get a bus between cars

Well, Richard. This country has a lot of overweight people with big egos who don't know how to park. So they must swing out the door to the max in order to unload themselves.
